The ANU Centre for Health Stewardship was established in 2004. We are part of the ANU College of Medicine, Biology & Environment.
The Centre’s mission is to conduct research to improve our understanding of how health systems are governed, and the relations between this governance and the health of the community.
The Centre conducts research on health policy and on how health departments operate to fulfill their roles within the national health system. We also examine governance (including clinical governance), financing and service development. We teach health policy and administration and train researchers in these fields.
